Laboratory analysis

Our laboratory analyzes

We offer you a wide range of examination methods and solutions for your specific questions at affordable prices.

Investigation methods

Our laboratory is completely independent, the highest level of discretion is a matter of course.

Of course, we will advise you comprehensively, pay attention to your individual wishes and requirements and we are sure to find the right solution for you. We make sure that the examination methods we use meet the highest standards.

Our current range of services includes:

Microscopic examinations

Raster electron microscopy

With the help of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high magnifications down to the nano range can be achieved. The sharpness and three-dimensionality of the recordings give insights into the microcosm and enable the most precise measurements and damage analyzes.

Light microscopy

Classic light microscopy in connection with digital recording media is also available for many areas of application. All methods are possible, light and dark field, phase contrast, reflected and transmitted light, fluorescence, etc.

Digital microscopy

Our digital microscope with software connection has already proven its worth in determining damage and corrosion. It enables simultaneous measurements on the computer and can use special filters to detect damaged areas more quickly.

Pollutant tests

Asbestos and mineral fibers

Asbestos was used extensively throughout the world in the 1960s and 1970s and is found in floors, walls, doors and ceilings. The fibers are highly resistant, very small and easily respirable. Contamination can easily lead to permanent damage to the lung tissue and a greatly increased risk of lung cancer.

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH)

House dust

House dust can contain toxins, microorganisms, and allergens that can cause problems. House dust is therefore an indicator from which conclusions can be drawn about the pollutant environment in the house.

Microbial studies

Bacterial studies

We carry out various methods of bacterial examinations, including special examinations. Many specialty agar and stains are already available and can be used quickly. A broad reference database of past studies is also available.

Mold and spore tests

Mold can lead to serious poisoning and illness. We have a long tradition of research in this area. In the past we examined, among other things, mold for mummies and grave goods.

Histological examinations

Air samples

Asbestos clearance measurements / KMF measurements according to VDI 3492

We carry out clearance measurements according to VDI 3492, e.g. after renovations or after contamination. The filters can be evaluated in our laboratory (REM / EDX) on the same day (express).

Particle & fine dust determination

We use devices from Biotest (APC) to determine and collect the particles down to the nanoscale.

Ozone measurement

What ozone levels are reached at work or in private homes? Could this be the cause of depression or headache? We offer the most modern short- or long-term measurements on site and can measure up to five locations in and around the house at the same time.

Measurement of radioactivity

We test air and soil samples as well as food for radioactive contamination, also on site.

Measurement of volatile substances

We measure the concentrations of PCB, formaldehyde (HCHO) and volatile organic compounds (TVOC) on site using various measuring devices and air sampling.

Water & soil surveys

Photometrie

With the help of photometry, water and soil samples can be quickly examined for common contaminants. Both process water and fresh water can be examined for dissolved ingredients. Possible toxins are also detectable.

Colormetry

With the help of the chemical-colorometric method, semi-quantitative quick statements can be made. The test kits are highly mobile and can also be used on site.

Ionenchromatographie (HPIC)

Ion chromatography is used in analysis to characterize fresh water or industrial water for ionic compounds. The most common detectable substances include halogens, nitrates and nitrites, acetates, phosphates and sulphates.

Thin layer chromatography (HPTLC)

HPTLC is a method for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of liquid compounds and pure substances. The sample is applied and evaluated using standardized technology. Many possible uses in different areas of analysis can be realized.

Ecological reports

Impact studies

How does the construction of a new building affect the environment, how does a new road change biodiversity? How does the environment react to leaked poisons or environmentally harmful liquids? We can provide answers to these questions through on-site and laboratory investigations.

Species identification in flora and fauna

Thanks to our broad ecological focus, we can quickly and easily identify species in our laboratory, using identification keys or by comparing them with our database.

Pest identification and advice

Pests in the house and yard or in industry can cause major financial damage. We identify the pest precisely and provide specific information on how to combat it.

Forensic analytics

For many years we were active in mummy research for the University of Tübingen, among others, as well as in police investigations and for the State Anaworker's Office. We are happy to help.

Umweltberatung

We offer comprehensive environmental advice, both in the area of living and working, as well as in the area of industry and waste disposal. This advice and expert work can be combined with investigations in the following areas:

Identity checks

Quality control (QC)

Do the supplied raw materials really meet the specifications, is the density, melting point or viscosity correct? We can offer you various DIN methods such as helium pycnometry and test batches at low cost.

Quality assurance (QA)

In order to ensure a consistently high quality of the product, we offer tests tailored to your needs, which ensure consistent quality. Various methods can be used here, e.g. elements of quality control, but also from the areas of stress and corrosion tests.

Qualitätsmanagementsysteme (QMS)

Quality management systems (QMS) are of central importance in order to continuously check quality. We help to develop new test methods for your company and or to improve existing ones. We would be happy to advise you on this.

Authenticity tests

Surface characterizations

The surface texture says a lot about the age or the manufacturing technology of the object. For this reason, this procedure is one of the most important methods of verification.

Pigment analysis

Are the pigments used really from this time or were they used by the artist? We can characterize these dyes and verify them through comparative analyzes.

Stoffanalysen

What compounds and substances were used in the manufacture. For example, was paper made before 1950 or after? The possible evidence of substances often gives important indications on the place and time of manufacture.

Age analysis (chronological classification)

The correct chronological classification is very important for the authenticity determination. Both external stem elements play a role, as does the age of the material used. Several methods can be used here. We are happy to help.

Stress and corrosion tests

Stress tests on temperature

Different materials behave differently towards temperatures. We test and compare products depending on the temperature and push them to their physical limits. We carry out stress tests in the range from -196 ° C (liquid nitrogen) to 1200 ° C (vacuum furnace).

Stress tests for corrosive chemicals

Materials and their surfaces react differently to external influences. We test chemically for surface changes, acid and base behavior, solvent resistance and determine microscopic and macroscopic change processes.

Physical stress tests

Many products are exposed to physical stress. We can test components for physical stress over the life of the product and beyond.

Learn more

Exercise test simulations

A stress test simulation clearly reveals the weaknesses of a material or their wear and tear and can thus lead to product improvements. The material or product is exposed to possible stresses of any kind and then scientifically unexamined.
